A better fit starts underneath
Our measuring visit takes the guesswork out of ordering, which helps you avoid paying for more material than you need. Underlay matters just as much as the carpet above it, because it cushions the backing, holds heat, and softens sound through the room. In homes, PU foam underlay in 10 mm to 12 mm thickness can improve comfort and reduce noise by up to 40 dB to 48 dB, which is especially useful upstairs.
Crumb rubber is a tougher choice for stairs and hallways where footfall is constant, and the carpet needs more support. For workplaces, we supply acoustic-backed carpet tiles with built-in sound dampening, alongside heavy-duty crumb rubber stick-and-release systems for wide-width office carpets.
